La Camaraderie a revisité une tradition asiatique, l'arbre à souhait et l'a adapté au contexte d'Art Souterrain. Installé au niveau métro du complexe Les Ailes, l'arbre à souhaits invite tous ceux qui passent par là et s'arrêter et à réfléchir à ce qu'ils souhaitent. Chacun peut se livrer de manière anonyme et étoffer l'arbre qui devient le portait d'une période de temps composée de tous ceux qui l'ont croisé. L'arbre à souhaits a accueilli plus de 4000 participations en 2 semaines, un incroyable succès pour ceux qui, comme nous, croient en leur rêves!
As part of Art Souterrain, at Complexe Les Ailes
La Camaraderie revisited an Asian tradition, the wish tree, and adapted it to the context of Art Souterrain. Installed in the Metro level of Complexe Les Ailes, the wish tree invited everyone walking by to stop and reflect on what they wish for. They could anonymously write down their wish on a tag and attach it to the tree, which became a portrait of everyone who found the tree over a period of time. The wish tree gathered more than 4,000 wishes in two weeks – an incredible success for those who, like us, believe in their dreams!
La Camaraderie présente ARBRE À SOUHAITS, installation participative au Complexe Les Ailes dans le cadre de Art Souterrain 2013. Pour sa 5e édition, Art Souterrain propose un circuit artistique au cœur du plus grand réseau souterrain au monde. 120 œuvres d’artistes locaux et internationaux seront installées tout au long d’un parcours de 7 km, passant par 14 édifices et trois stations de métro de Montréal. Au début l’arbre est nu, petit à petit les gens l’habillent de leurs souhaite, ils lui laissent ce qu’ils désirent pour eux ou pour ceux qu’ils aiment. L’arbre devient alors le portrait d’une période de temps composé de tous ceux qui l’ont croisé. Il rassemble les rêves de tous les anonymes qui désirent s’exprimer, il se tient disponible pour les curieux qui veulent le consulter. Il vous attend! For its 5th edition, Art Souterrain celebrates contemporary art and culture by offering an artistic path through the heart of the largest underground city in the world. 120 artworks of local and international artists will be installed among 14 buildings and three subway stations, through a 7 km underground path of Montreal. At first the tree is bare, but gradually the spectators dress it up with their wishes or the wishes of their loved ones. The tree becomes the portrait of the people that have crossed its path at a specific moment. It anonymously collects the dreams, hopes or fantasies of the people who wish to express them, while the tree makes them accessible for those curious enough to read them.
